Salford Business School is seeking a project support officer to support the Centre for Sustainable Innovation (CSI), under the direction of the CSI Director. Launched in January 2024, CSI focuses on digital transformation, sustainability, and change management, serving as an innovation hub for partnerships with industry and academia.

This exciting role supports the project academic and professional services colleagues in achieving their outputs. Aligned to the multiple Innovation and growth projects that brings together a range of external and internal partners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering or overseeing a range of service support tasks, advising and assisting colleagues, staff, and others on regulation, processes or systems and coordinating activities to meet objectives.
  • Maintain contract, grant and any other commercial records, relating to funding agreements and commercial contracts for CSI. Be able to provide these on request and remain familiar with the operational deliverables and requirements of such contracts, grants and records. Advise if projects are off track and escalate to the CSI Director or project principal investigator.
  • To support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency to provide the highest client satisfaction. Identify patterns and problem areas and recommend and/or implement effective solutions to increase efficiency, through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking.
  • Providing supervision and immediate support on issues raised by junior staff and filtering problems referred to senior management.
