About the role
This is a brand-new role for Sussex, and a pioneering role within the sector at an exciting point of full transformation of our web estate.
Sitting within a newly formed Digital team you’ll be responsible for delivering content architecture, based on information architecture from our UX Design Manager. This will see you look after and develop our new website’s taxonomy, applying and managing content types and elements within a new Content Management System (CMS).
You’ll use your knowledge and collaborative approach to deliver training on our taxonomy and the development of new content types to a range of colleagues involved in producing content.
You’ll be part of the team working in partnership with stakeholders across the University to make content work harder and smarter for us, to realise our vision for our new website, and continue its success over time.
About you
You’ll be passionate about the power of well-organised, well-structured, high-quality content that best meets the needs of a diverse group of users. And you’ll enjoy being part of the team of experts to roll out this way of thinking and new approach to content across the wider University.
This role might be for you if you enjoy organising and categorising information or maintaining order to a large set of evolving data, while also understanding why good content is so important. You’ll lean on your communication style of presenting information both simply and comprehensibly to ensure our taxonomy and the principles of a connected content model are understood and supported. You’ll deliver training to help build peoples’ understanding, and you’ll actively manage our taxonomy yourself, using your analytical skills to determine how content should be organised.
