About the Role
This role is a team leader within the School of Business and Management’s Professional Services team and the role holder is expected to be an active part of the University’s support staff family, working with academic colleagues across a wide range of responsibilities to help deliver its academic mission. The post holder’s specific responsibilities include managing and contributing to the strategic development of the School’s HR and Financial Management procedures, to ensure these core services run efficiently in a climate of recurrent change.
About You
Candidates should be educated to degree level or have relevant experience. A finance qualification/professional training or equivalent knowledge acquired by experience is desirable. Significant experience in line managing an experienced team with substantial subject knowledge and expertise is essential. You should also be determined and focused and have an understanding of the confidential nature of the work with the ability to exercise tact and discretion and display a professional attitude towards colleagues, students and others.
About the School
The School of Business and Management is structured around 5 departments, covering Accounting & Financial Management, Business & Society, Marketing, People & Organisations, and Business Analytics & Applied Economics. The School has approximately 2200 undergraduate students, 1100 postgraduate taught students and 100 PhD students. The School is located within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which comprises eight Schools that deliver the research and education activity of the Faculty.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date of 1 November 2023. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £42,405 - £49,785 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
