About the Role
Applications are sought for an Education Services Officer within the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating a seamless academic experience for both students and faculty. Your responsibilities will encompass diverse areas, including proficiently managing timetabling. You will also be a key point of contact for module registration, aiding students in navigating this process smoothly. Collaborating closely with the Director of Teaching and Learning, you will contribute to the enhancement of educational quality, assisting in the implementation of innovative strategies that promote effective teaching practices and enrich the overall learning journey
About You
You should have considerable experience of student administration within a Higher Education environment. Demonstrable experience of timetabling, managing a team and a detailed understanding of academic regulations is also essential. You will have good problem solving and analytical skills, and be highly numerate and confident with dealing with students.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The School of Biological & Behavioural Sciences (SBBS) is one of five Schools in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. It is one of the largest Schools at Queen Mary University of London, with approximately 1800 students and over 100 academic staff members, who carry out excellent education, research and public engagement activities, with support from 26 administrative staff and c.30 technical staff.
