Faculty / Directorate
The Directorate offers full-service marketing and communications support to the university, comprising brand and creative development; design and print services; corporate and student recruitment marketing campaigns; CRM and conversion campaigns; faculty marketing and recruitment; reputation management; media relations and public affairs; internal and external communications engagement; events; admissions, schools and colleges engagement; widening participation; enquiry management and follow up; web and digital development and market insight.
Role
As an Events Assistant, you will support the planning and delivery of various events across the university, including standalone and program-based events in-person, digital, or hybrid formats. Your role will involve creating event plans, maintaining the central events web page, and overseeing the university's events calendar.
You will manage the Events Office inbox, ensuring timely and high-quality customer service, and maintain the events database and mailing lists in compliance with GDPR guidelines. Additionally, you will assist with budget support; raising orders and managing supplier orders.
Your responsibilities will also include coordinating mailings, invitations, and managing RSVPs, ensuring smooth communication and organisation for all university events.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting events as part of a broader events program and enjoy coordinating projects that involve multiple stakeholders. You should be able to work well in a busy team, effectively manage positive relationships with stakeholders, and assist in influencing and negotiating when needed.
Experience of supporting events within higher or further education is a plus, but candidates from other sectors are also encouraged to apply.
