The University is now seeking an exceptional individual to take on the role of Director of Human Resources,leading our HR service and playing a central role in enabling our leading institution to tackle the challenges and embrace the opportunities of a continually evolving global higher education sector. Our success in recent years has been built upon strong foundations of leadership, governance and management, a sector leading partnership with our students and a continued focus on performance. "Supporting our people to make the exceptional happen" is a fundamental goal in our strategic plan,as such the appointment of our new Director is a critical appointment.Reporting to the Registrar and Secretary the Director plays a full role in the Vice Chancellor's Executive Group and is a mainstay strategic position in the University's senior team.  

The University seeks candidates who can support, develop and take forward our ambitious people strategy and ensure the HR service is professional, forward looking, innovative, customer service focused and efficient. Candidates will be able to demonstrate strong influencing skills up to Board level, ensuring the people focus feeds into everything we do.  We welcome applications from outside the higher education sector but candidates must bring credibility in their discipline, a strong values set recognising that universities are truly individual institutions that transform lives and an appreciation of a knowledge led environment.
