The IT Project Support Officer will provide support to IT Services projects including the delivery of the SITS Programme, which is an exciting initiative consisting of six projects across the student lifecycle. You will work alongside members of the IT Project Delivery team and several project teams to update actions, deliverables and milestones and raise risks, issues and dependencies through the agreed governance.

You will support scheduling and delivery of project activities, including staff and student events, as well as supporting communication with stakeholders and completing necessary administrative tasks. This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver a strategically important programme of activity which aims to improve the staff and student experience of key University of Bradford processes.

Qualifications

Essential: GCSE English and Maths or equivalent. Proven professional experience.

Desirable: Degree standard education in a relevant subject. PRINCE2 qualified, or equivalent project / change qualification.

Experience, skills, and knowledge

  • Evidence of supporting complex projects and business change activity across an organisation.
  • Clear written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to build effective professional relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience supporting board meetings, team meetings or formal committees.
  • Ability to use Windows based software applications effectively (Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to manage, plan and implement own workload.
  • Evidence of producing communications for colleagues to raise awareness of progress and developments.
  • Ability to work flexibly in response to changes in workload and focus of work.
  • Ability to work under pressure, delivering against tight deadlines.
  • Evidence of innovation and creativity in problem solving

Training in University of Bradford Project Management methodology and processes will be provided.
