We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic manager to provide strategic leadership for the ongoing development of a world-class residential life experience, leading a large team of staff to ensure that we meet the diverse needs of our students and working with the team and other key stakeholders to plan and deliver of a range of educational, wellbeing and community building initiatives.
You will manage the Residential Life and Accommodation Office teams and lead on the ongoing strategic development of the Residential life model at Bristol and ensure the continuous improvement of the service through the provision of excellent levels of customer service, specialist and professional advice, direction and input across a wide range of student facing activities to ensure that the students’ transitions into higher education are effectively supported.
Working with your team and other key stakeholders including colleagues from across Student Services and other professional services, academic colleagues and Bristol Students Union, you will lead on the provision of a holistic approach to supporting all students in a range of residential settings. Working closely with the Head of Student Wellbeing, you will be responsible for the ongoing development of Student Services Centres, operating 24/7 to provide information, support and advice to all students throughout their time at university. You will have previous experience in a similar setting or equivalent and will have relevant skills to lead on the management of complex disciplinary and wellbeing cases in a residential setting (including those students living privately in the local community).
